Description -
Lateral pads are constructed with two steel stays that can be molded to provide comfort and assistance with scoliosis.
Backrest may be removed and molded, increasing support and comfort to accommodate lumbar and kyphosis needs.
Moldable aluminum stays are offset from the center, removing pressure points from the spine. Patented Design #6,733,074
Pre-drilled holes in aluminum shell allow for mounting a headrest.
Optional Swing Away Hardware available.
Lateral Pads
- Lateral Pads are available in four different sizes.
- Maximum distance between lateral pads is equal
to the wheelchair width (i.e. 16", 18", 20").
- Minimum distance between lateral pads is 8" less
than the width of the wheelchair.
- Lateral Pads have 4" of height adjustment.
Hardware
- Patented Compass Hardware is fully adjustable for height, depth, and angle of recline.
- Requires only 1.5" of space on each cane for mounting purposes.
- All adjustments can be made while the user is seated in the wheelchair,
eliminating the need for multiple transfers during the fitting process.
- Quick-release feature allows backrest to be removed vertically within seconds.
- Hardware may be installed within minutes and fits 3/4", 7/8", and 1" tubing.
- New positive locking feature for angle rotation.
Covers
- STRETCH-AIR - designed for air transmission and heat reduction. This
breathable laminate combines a high-stretch polyester top layer with a
breathable vapor barrier.
- COMFORT-TEK - the fluid proof exterior has supple leathery properties
that provide an easily cleaned surface and protection for the inner cushion.
Comfort-Tek has multi-dimensional stretch and helps alleviate pressure
on bony prominences.
